Ohtani Shohei (LA Angels), who was replaced early due to rain interruption in the starting game, will return to the mound after four days.

Angels manager Phil Nevin revealed Ohtani’s next starting plan ahead of the 2023 MLB away game against the New York Yankees at New York Yankee Stadium, New York, USA on the 19th (Korean time).

Ohtani is scheduled to start in a home game against the Kansas City Royals on the 22nd. It is a sortie four days after the Boston Red Sox match on the 18th.

Ohtani was replaced after throwing only two innings (one run) against Boston. The game was stopped due to heavy rain in the beginning of the 3rd inning, and resumed after about 1 hour and 25 minutes, but Ohtani, who had cooled shoulders, was replaced by left-hander Tucker Davidson.

It is the first time Ohtani, who doubles as a pitcher, has thrown less than 2 innings since the Yankees match on July 1, 2021 (⅔ innings, 7 runs). However, he continued to play as a hitter in the game against Boston, going 2-for-5 with 1 run.

Coach Nevin said,먹튀검증 “We judged Ohtani to pitch a long bullpen pitch (against Boston),” and said there was no major problem. Ohtani threw 31 pitches against Boston.

Meanwhile, Ohtani fired a home run from his first at bat against the Yankees on the 19th.

Ohtani, who started as the second designated hitter, hit the sweeper driven by Yankees starting pitcher Clark Schmidt’s third pitch from second base safely in the first inning and fired a superior two-run four. It was Ohtani’s 4th home run of the season, 7 games after the game against the Toronto Blue Jays on the 10th.

As of the top of the first inning, the Angels lead the Yankees 2-0 thanks to Ohtani’s two-run homer.
